Native to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka

Think of the hot and humid air under the shade of our jeep, still sweating, whilst witnessing these majestic animals roam in their family groups, banding together and protecting their young. The most loyal and loving we’ve seen. They emerged from a nearby muddy waterhole and crunched through the greenery to emerge in front of us. Huge yet somehow humble in appearance. Like it was on the day, it is still so hard to take your eye away from them.
