If you wonder down the back roads at the top of Mount Canobolas, you don’t have to venture far to find the most intricate and contrasting details of the woodland that adorns the slopes of the mountain. Clusters of huge curvy eucalyptus leaves contrast against the warm tones of the bendy tree trunks, softly lit by the grassy tufts and rolled bark on the ground. Soft shoots of dried straw grasses pop up in and out of focus too.
